My drawings and paintings are expressionist and impressionist. I seek to both distill and amplify what I am feeling about where I have been and what I have seen, or what I may be, for some reason, preoccupied with. They may either simplify or elaborate; they may soothe the eye or ask it to solve riddles or puzzles. These drawings are drawn from a large number made while living in Europe over a two-year period, mainly in France, 2023-2024.
Rebecca Pyle is an artist whose artwork appears in many art/literary journals, including Rathalla Review, The Vassar Review, New England Review, JuxtaProse, The Kleksograph, FOLIO, TINT, and MAYDAY. Rebecca, who lives now in northern New Mexico, is also a writer (poet, essayist, fiction writer). See rebeccapyleartist.com.
